About Our Company
Founded in 1990, Current Medicine Group LLC of Philadelphia is a division of Current Medicine Group, a leading provider of high-quality medical educational materials and services for the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries.
Current Medicine is committed to producing the most comprehensive and up-to-date publications and in turn attracts world-renowned authors from a variety of medical disciplines. Our extensive collection includes Eugene Braunwald's Atlas of Heart Diseases series, Gene G. Hunder's Atlas of Rheumatology, Mark Feldman's Gastroenterology and Hepatology series, and Gerald Mandell's Atlas of Infectious Diseases series.
As the 21st century begins and the needs of healthcare providers evolve, Current Medicine is poised to evolve along with them. Many of our titles are now available in a CD-ROM format, opening new paths to access and use medical literature in a more efficient manner. Along with this, Current Medicine has recognized the ever-growing use of the Internet as a vital source of information. Our newest product, images.MD, an online encyclopedia of over 70,000 medical images, is collected from over 100 of our most popular titles with contributions from more than 2,000 medical professionals. Now available in full on the Web, images.MD provides comprehensive information at the fingertips of all members of the health care system, from students to librarians to medical researchers and lecturers.
Current Medicine provides an excellent environment for authors by providing a variety of services free of charge, including illustration creation based on sketches, complete MEDLINE searches, and reprint services. Plus, our approach to commissioning has been designed to alleviate many of the administrative duties of a project from the author. If you have a suitable publishing proposal and would like to discuss this with someone on our staff, please do not hesitate to contact us.
